Secretary General, CO2 Value Europe
Anastasios is Secretary-General at CO2 Value Europe, the European association representing the carbon capture and utilization (CCU) community. He holds a PhD in bioengineering from UCL, Belgium and master’s degrees in environmental engineering from TUHH, Germany, and chemical engineering from NTUA, Greece. Over the last 10 years, Anastasios has conducted fundamental and applied research in Germany and Belgium (e.g. biorefinery development, waste valorization) and has also been responsible for EU and international funding at ULB, Belgium. He now coordinates the activities of CO2 Value Europe in developing the technical intelligence of the association, raising awareness of the potential of CCU for climate mitigation, advocating for a supportive regulatory framework and helping to establish the CCU industry.
