EV Biotech is a biotechnology company that creates microbial production platforms for high-value chemicals and proteins, using computational modelling and microorganisms. By combining classical fermentation methods with the latest developments in modelling approaches, we have revolutionised the methods of microbial strain engineering. Our microbial cells factories (MCFs) provide effective, bio-based alternatives to conventional chemical-synthetic production processes. Throughout the strain development process, our approach facilitates the improved chance of success, production levels, financial forecasts and time to market. Combining in-house expertise, the synergistic approach of utilising computational modelling and strain engineering facilitates cutting development time in half.

EV Biotech provides prospective clients two methods of strain development: co-development of strains and strain optimisation. For co-development of strains, we provide clients a Feasibility Report to outline the commercial viability of developing the strain, risk mitigation strategies and preliminary in-silico designs. Following the Feasibility Report, we move forward with the Modelling + Strain Engineering, integrating multiple iterations to optimise the initial designs for the final transfer. For the strain optimisation of proof-of-concept strains, we utilise the aforementioned steps to deliver the final strain. However, as the preliminary strain has been engineered, fewer iterations are required.
